Turquoise water, granite coastline and forest on La Digue, Seychelles

Sey Circular Biosphere / Seychelles

An island.
A living system.

The ocean. The land. The people.
A future that brings them together.

ADAR technology.
Island purpose.

Specialist expertise. A shared ambition for Seychelles.

We’re working with ADAR Technologies on our fish-residue flagship—bringing acoustic-processing expertise to a project designed to recover more value from marine by-products.

ADAR’s approach brings drying and size reduction together. Our partnership connects that technology with the local resources, people and planning needed to develop the Seychelles project.

Not the end
of a resource.
The start of something.

Seychelles’ next chapter could begin with the things we overlook. Marine residues. Living soil. Local food. Our vision connects them—one carefully validated project at a time.

  1. The place. The island programme starts with the place it is intended to serve. The coastline is a real Seychelles photograph; it is not a proposed project site.
  2. Marine resources. Suitable residues could supply a recovery project producing fishmeal and fish oil. Quality, collection and qualified markets need to be established.
  3. Food and soil. The wider vision connects soil improvement, farmer participation, growing systems and routes to market. The connections are proposed, not proven operating flows.
  4. A shared future. The illustrated island concept represents an ambition. Every project needs its own site, permissions, economics, safeguards and accountable partners.

01 / THE OCEAN

A new life.
Beyond the catch.

Our proposed first flagship begins after fish processing. Suitable residues could become fishmeal and fish oil—recovering useful value from an existing resource stream.

02 / THE LAND

More life.
Closer to home.

Living soils, productive farms and local food belong in the same story. The proposed farmer programme brings crops, eggs and appropriate growing systems into that wider vision.

A future worth
building together.

Seven proposed phases. One connected ambition. Each opportunity needs evidence, capable partners and a viable route to delivery before it becomes reality.

What goes in.
What comes next.

Resource recovery means taking suitable leftovers from one activity and processing them into something useful.

Here are three examples from our proposed programme. Follow each row from the material we start with, through the work needed, to a potential product.

01 / Marine recovery

After fish processing, value can remain.

Proposed first flagship
  1. Input

    Fish-processing residues

Suitable material left over after fish are processed.

  2. What happens

    Controlled processing

Collect suitable material, check its quality and process it into useful ingredients.

  3. Useful output

    Fishmeal & fish oil

Fishmeal for qualified feed markets; fish oil for suitable commercial uses, depending on quality and specification.

Before it can happen: confirm a reliable supply, prove processing performance, meet safety requirements and agree buyer terms.

02 / Organics & soil

Separate the material. Find the right use.

Proposed programme route
  1. Input

    Food & garden residues

Suitable organic materials kept separate from mixed rubbish.

  2. What happens

    Material-specific processing

Choose a suitable treatment for each material. Different products need different processing routes.

  3. Useful output

    Fertiliser or biochar

Potential soil inputs for appropriate agricultural uses—not every material is suitable for both products.

Before it can happen: test nutrients, contaminants and safety; validate the process and intended soil use.

03 / Egg co-products

An egg’s story need not end at the shell.

Retained product vision
  1. Input

    Eggshells

Shells recovered separately during egg processing.

  2. What happens

    Separation & recovery

Separate, clean and process suitable shells, then test the recovered material for its intended use.

  3. Useful output

    Calcium products

Potential food, feed, fertiliser or industrial ingredients. Each application needs its own suitable grade and approval.

Before it can happen: establish purity, safety, product specifications and permitted uses. Recovered material is not automatically food-grade.

The idea connecting them

Keep useful resources in use. These are separate proposed recovery routes—not a single proven, closed loop. Every route still needs technical validation, viable customers, funding and required approvals.

A vision is a beginning.
Help shape what follows.

We welcome the people who can help test the ideas, build the partnerships and turn a shared ambition into credible projects.
