Who is responsible
Sey Circular Biosphere (Pty) Ltd, registration number 8440074-2, Maison La Roseriere, Victoria, Mahé, Seychelles, is responsible for personal information it handles through this website and related enquiries.
For privacy questions or requests, contact Derek de Brès at derek@seycircularbiosphere.com, using “Privacy enquiry” in the subject line.
Information involved
You can read the public website without registering an account.
Our hosting service may record technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP addresses, requested pages, dates and times, browser information and error records.
If you email or call us, we receive the information you choose to provide and contact details supplied through that channel. This may include your name, organisation, role, email address, telephone number, correspondence and attachments. Opening an email link uses your own email application; it does not submit an enquiry until you send the message.
Please send only information relevant to your enquiry. Do not send identity documents, payment-card details or sensitive personal information unless we have specifically agreed an appropriate method.
Why we use information
We use relevant information to respond to enquiries, discuss potential collaborations, manage correspondence, maintain website security and meet applicable legal obligations.
Routine enquiry handling and website protection support our legitimate interests in communicating with people interested in the programme and operating the site responsibly. Where another basis is required, such as consent, contractual necessity or a legal obligation, the basis depends on the particular activity.
An enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to a newsletter or marketing list. We do not use this website for targeted advertising or sell website visitors’ personal information.
Creative tools and website playback
Some website illustrations are prepared using AI-assisted creative tools, as explained in our visual-material terms. These assets are prepared before publication. Viewing them or playing the website films does not itself submit your information to an AI-generation service.
The films and their assets are served by this website. The handling of website visits and enquiries, including hosting records, remains as described in this privacy statement.
Who may receive information
Relevant information may be handled by the team members responsible for your enquiry and by providers supporting website hosting, email and technical administration.
Information may also be shared with professional advisers or competent authorities where reasonably necessary and lawful. An initial enquiry is not permission to circulate your personal information to potential investors or programme partners for unrelated purposes.
Overseas processing
Website hosting, email services and people handling correspondence may be located outside Seychelles. This can involve processing information under another country’s laws.
You may contact us for information about the providers, processing locations and protection arrangements relevant to your enquiry. Any international handling must meet the requirements applicable to that processing.
How long information is kept
We keep personal information for the period needed for its purpose. Relevant criteria include whether an enquiry remains active, whether a working relationship follows, applicable recordkeeping duties, the need to resolve a complaint or legal claim, and security investigations.
Technical records and backups follow the relevant service’s retention arrangements. Information should be deleted or otherwise appropriately disposed of when it is no longer needed.
Security
The public website uses HTTPS. We keep the information requested for an initial enquiry limited to what is needed to respond. Please arrange a suitable channel before sending sensitive or confidential documents. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
If you believe information has been disclosed incorrectly or a message claiming to come from us is suspicious, please contact us using the published address.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, you may request access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction or blocking of use, object to particular processing, or request portability. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent.
Write to the privacy contact above and explain your request. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. We will explain any lawful reason that prevents us from fulfilling a request.
You may also contact the Seychelles Information Commission or another competent authority without first contacting us. The Commission’s current contact routes are published on its official contact page.
Changes
We will update this notice when the website or relevant information practices change. The date at the top identifies the current version.
